COVID19 UPDATE ON THE FARM

HI everyone!  We hope you are all happy, healthy and staying safe through this COVID19 Pandemic.  The farm, horses, and the other animals are doing fine.  They are enjoying being outside and eating lots of grass!

Now to get to some new information and updates with COVID19 going on.

1. We will NOT be accepting any new riders or having evaluations at this time.
2. Rattle Run Farms Dressage Schooling Show Series is CANCELLED for 2020 Show Season
3. Returning/Current Riders will be getting an email soon updating you on new rules, safety regulations, and changes to our program.  We are requiring riders to purchase your own ASTM-SEI riding helmets.  We recommend Troxel or Ovation with am adjustable dial.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and support during this time!

It’s 2020 and lots going on!

We would like to welcome everyone into 2020!  We are excited for this year to get started!  The farm already has several events planned and on the calendar!  Mother nature is keeping us on our toes so far with all the mud this winter, so hopefully she will be nicer as our year continues and our events come up.

Our riding lessons will start in a couple weeks, in February.  If you are riding with us, please remember it is still cold outside, so dress in layers and warmer clothes!  Our lesson schedules are up and registration is available!  Rattle Run Farms is excited to offer lessons Monday through Thursday, where we try our best to accommodate everyone’s schedules and needs.  Our horses are full of winter fuzz and getting ready to shed!  There will be lots of hair this spring!  This year we happy to announce our Dressage Schooling Show Series will be offering Classical Dressage as well as Western Dressage!  Our show dates are listed on our Dressage Schooling Show dates for this year on the Dressage page, so please check that out.

Besides our equestrian excitement, we are hosting Swampfoot again this year!  Mark your calendar as the date has changed to August 29th, 2020.  We are excited to see what a later summer date will bring! Registrations will be open very soon! Follow Swampfoot on facebook to stay up to date with promos and sneak peaks!

The farm is a continuing working farm.  We not only provide riding lessons, camps, clinics, horse shows, fundraisers, Swampfoot, but we also work our own fields and bale our on hay.  It is a lot of work but it is a part of our family, our business, and our life.

2019 Welcome Note

It’s a little late, but welcome 2019! The new year has created some challenges for us here at the farm already!  Mother Nature is keeping us busy with snow, rain and ice, which our old horses don’t care for!  We are excited for 2019 lessons and events to start!  We will be adding to our calender as other dates arise for clinics, horse shows, special events, and more!

Due to our crazy farm lives, our lesson programs will not start until after spring break this year!  Lesson Registration and Session Dates are updated so please check that out!  The first week of lessons will be April 8th.

We do have some great events this year at the farm.  In May we are hosting Tim Lelito’s Adult Field Day Event.  This will be held outback by the pond on May 11th.  Please go to his website for information.  We are also welcoming Lynn Palm back on May 18th and May 19th for a Western Dressage Clinic.  This clinic is beneficial for all disciplines in the horse industry, as well as all levels of riding.  Auditing is available, so please check out our events tab for all the details on the Lynn Palm Clinic.

Of course, our July is going to bust as usual with our Swampfoot 4 Mile Obstacle course race on July 13th.  Registration is open so please go register and get signed up early so you can get a free t-shirt at check in!  There is always something new to our race, so gather your friends and put a team together or brave it by yourself and meet some fellow Swampfooters!!  July 14-21 is our amazing St. Clair County Goodells 4H Fair.  This is amazing fair with lots to offer.  There will be no lessons during this week, so if you are looking for us, we will be at the fair!

As the year falls into the Fall, so do lessons and holidays.  Please note that if your lesson day falls on a major holiday, we will discuss options during lessons in the weeks before to decide what is the best plan for the group.

We hope you all enjoy this year with us here at Rattle Run Farms!
