About Us
Rattle Run Farms has been family owned and operated since 1950. Suzanne Cook, daughter of John and Ruth DeWald, has continued the family heritage by running the farm alongside her husband Ronald Cook and her family.
Rattle Run Farms currently owns approximately 200 acres. Breaking down the acreage, there are several alfalfa hay fields, riding trails, barns and two ponds. There are about 3 miles of riding trails throughout the property. (see photos)
The facilities include a 240 x 80 indoor arena with a heated and air-conditioned lounge, restroom and indoor wash rack equipped with hot and cold water. There is also a 100 x 200 outdoor arena. Within the barns, there are 30 horse stalls and 5 pony stalls. Rattle Run Farms has 5 large turnout paddocks to accommodate the 35 horses and ponies that it houses.
Rattle Run Farms is also an educational site for many different areas other than horseback riding. Some of the other opportunities include job shadowing, day camps for at risk children, team building exercises, and wildlife and nature education.
